Children & Youth

Our goal is to make children and youth feel at home in this place. The children and youth are integrated into the life of the church, worshiping, participating, and serving alongside the adults in the congregation. Whether it is at coffee hour, making Brunswick stew or volunteering in the garden, youth and children are invited to be a part of it all.
On Sunday mornings, the pre-school and elementary age children have the opportunity to learn about the biblical lessons, liturgies and sacraments of Episcopal worship through a catechesis-like model, using a hands-on, Montessori style of learning.
Our middle and high school youth share their musical talents with the choir, and they lead the Christmas pageant worship and the liturgy of the live stations of the cross during Holy Week. For youth involved in scouting or other service groups, the church has partnered on projects in our cemetery, the garden, and with recycling. Our goal is to provide a safe and fun place for our youth to simply be, and to explore their faith in ways that affirm that they are loved by God, just as they are.
